2013 Rolex 24 Hour at Daytona

I was the lead parts specialist, as well as part of the build team, for the development of the 2013 GX Class winning Cayman at the 24 Hours at Daytona. This Cayman was born of technology from 911 RSR, Cup cars, and other after-market products. It ran the entire 24 hour race without any mechanical issues or breakdowns, and finished with not so much as a scratch at the finish!

The big question is: why did Napleton Racing close after winning the Daytona 24 Hours? Well, I don't really know, but it was the impetus my decision to open G Design Racing. We're currently building a 2014 Cayman S that "made the Earth shake" at our last test day at Autobahn Country Club. With the development and fbrication of a new wing and splitter, we are pushing the technology even further than that of the 2013 Daytona winner.

Stay tuned for our next post featuring the 2014 Cayman S build...
